The Cooling World
Today the popular trend is we're warming up and the polar ice cap is melting, but just 30 years ago the rhetoric was that the Earth was cooling down and one solution even called for melting the ice cap with black soot!

So what's the deal? We were so effective in preventing cooling that we warmed up the Earth too much? Maybe if we work hard on cooling the Earth we'll be too effective again and toss ourselves into an ice age.
